They’ve been the world champions not once or twice but three times. You don’t have to go back to November 16, 1959 when the first professional football team was created in New England to have a glimpse into the history of this team that has withstood the test of time and circumstance to come out on top as winners time and time again. The New England Patriots became the eight franchise in the American Football League and in less than a week had already selected their first draft choice, Gerhardt Schwedes.

Since that time, the New England Patriots have appeared in the Super Bowl six separate times. February 1, 2004 and the Patriots take home the Super Bowl XXXVII championship with a win against the Carolina Panthers 32-29. February 6, 2005 in Jacksonville, Florida, the Patriots stepped to the gridiron and defeated the Eagles 24-21. On February 8, 2008, the New England Patriots participated in Super Bowl XLII. It was a close game against the New York Giants at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale but not a competition the Patriots would win. The Patriots also appeared in Super Bowl XX, XXXI and XXXVI.

New England Patriots Tickets – Patriots Add Reese

The New England Patriots are already planning for next season, and one of the major additions to their staff will be having Floyd Reese as the team’s senior football advisor. He was hired to replace Scott Pioli after Pioli took a position with the Kansas City Chiefs as their general manager. Prior to his position with the Chiefs, Pioli had been the vice president of player personnel for the Patriots. The loss of Piolo also meant the change in responsibilities for the Patriots’ director of player personnel, Nick Caserio. He will be taking on the daily operations of player personnel. Together, Caserio and Reese will cover the hole left by losing Pioli. Reese has been coaching or in an administrative position for more than 30 years. He first got his start as an assistant coach for UCLA in 1971, where he stayed until 1973. He held the same position with Georgia Tech in 1974 before becoming the strength and conditioning coach for the Detroit Lions in 1975. After three seasons with the Lions, he became the strength and conditioning coach for the San Francisco 49ers. In 1978, he became the linebackers and special teams coach for the Minnesota Vikings. In 1984, the Vikings promoted him to defensive coordinator for a year before he moved back to linebackers coach in 1985. He took a job as the linebackers coach for the Houston Oilers in 1986. He was moved to the Oilers assistant general manager in 1990. In 1994, he became the Oilers’ executive vice president and general manager. He stayed in that position when the Oilers became the Tennessee Titans. In 2001, the Titans added director of football operations to his already-full plate, a position he kept until 2006. During his time with the Oilers/Titans, Reese is credited with bringing in some top names. Even after he left, the Titans are still enjoying the fruits of his labor. This year’s Pro Bowl will feature many of the Titans Reese brought on board like Kerry Collins, Albert Haynesworth, Chris Hope and Michael Roos.

Caserio adds his wealth of experience to the mix as well. He was a starting quarterback at John Carroll University, where he set over a dozen records. He first started coaching in 1999 as a graduate assistant at Saginaw Valley state University. He stayed for two seasons before becoming a graduate assistant for a brief time at Central Michigan in 2001 before taking a position as a personnel assistant with the Patriots later that year. He spent just one season as personnel assistant before being promoted to offensive coaching assistant. In 2003, he was moved to the position of area scout. The next year, he became the director of pro personnel. He went back to coaching in 2007 when he spent a year as the Patriots’ wide receivers coach. In 2008, he was promoted to his current role of director of player personnel.

Cambridge, the near by town, is most of the time included in Boston in terms of tourism. Boston is also the home for several other planet known universities like Boston University, Boston College, Berklee College of Music, Emerson College and Tufts University. Because there are more than 100 universities in Boston, the city is always packed with young people so the entertaining industry is very developed and covers the most demanding tastes.

Like any big city, not all the neighborhoods are safe to walk and drive around, but there are plenty of locations to see and do in the safe ones. Although a place where there is always something to do and see Boston can be considered quite expensive in terms of accommodation.
